Job Description
This role manages the development of automated solutions for parcel Pick-Up and Drop-Off (PUDO) processes to meet SingPost’s operational and business needs. He/she will be the key member in driving the full-scale deployment of the products/solutions through development phase to deployment phase to operation & support phase. He/she will provide the vision and direction to the product development team in alignment with SingPost’s business objectives.
Product/Solution Development
- Drive product ideation, conceptualization, value proposition and product roadmaps
- Lead in multiple initiatives from product/solution prototyping to implementation and deployment of parcel Pick-Up and Drop-Off (PUDO) product/solution
- Develop partnerships and collaborations with industrial partners
- Work with design partners, system integrators, internal stakeholders and external vendors throughout the development lifecycle
- Lead and manage system trials and deployment
- Lead in system verifications and validations, and reliability demonstrations
- Lead in managing the transition from development phase to deployment phase to operation & support phase
- Lead in product/solution improvement and defect analysis with vendors and partners throughout the product/solution lifecycle
Project Management
- Manage end-to-end key project initiatives and demonstrate good governance to meet timelines necessary to comply with project delivery requirements (including control of resources, timelines, budget, scope and risk management)
- Work with stakeholders on scope including requirements gathering, system definitions, process streamlining and ensuring compliance to regulations, security and safety procedures
- Take complete end-to-end technical & engineering ownership of one or more applications / product features.
- Determine root cause for the most complex hardware and software issues and develop practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions.
- Manage multiple project work streams and proactively update the stakeholders on the risk/ issues/ milestones, ensuring the scope, cost and timeline are effectively managed
Stakeholder Management
- Engage C-level on alignment of business objectives and product vision
- Engage stakeholders to gain buy-in and support for project work streams
- Engage and work closely with various internal & external stakeholders to ensure on alignment of business objectives and product visions and to garner support, secure approvals and resources to enable collaborations and trials needed for full-scale implementation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and other disciplines related to mechanical, electrical and system-level integration are encouraged to apply.
- PMP certification or equivalent is an advantage.
- 10 years' experience in electrical or mechanical systems development with a minimum 3 development life cycles
- Managed in project management and/or product development of at least $10M in value
- Led or participated in at least one system product development life cycle
- Led or participated in system/product operation & support phase
- Proficient in cross-disciple engineering competencies
- Analytical mind and strong problem-solving ability
- Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines
- A logical and structured thinker
- Good communication and interpersonal skill to handle various situations, customers and vendors
