The Manager, Professional Education Manages a team of individual contributors and/or Supervisors and is accountable for conducting effective performance management. Develops tactical and operational plans for implementing educational strategies and training programs for medical professionals specifically Eye Care Professionals like Ophthalmologists, Opticians and other professionals who work on eye health. These programs are designed to accelerate product and procedural understanding, enable safe and efficacious use of products, and support adoption of new-age technologies available. Collaborates and aligns priorities with multiple departments to deliver customized educational experiences that meet stakeholders' business objectives and comply with organizational and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Manages a team of individual contributors and is accountable for conducting effective coaching and performance management.
- Oversees and facilitates execution of the organization’s medical education strategy that aims to effectively educate and train external medical professionals specifically ECPs or Eye Care Professionals, healthcare organizations, and thought leaders on the safe and efficacious use of the organization’s products- Contact Lens.
- Understand the education needs that Vision customers – Eye Care professionals have and design appropriate content to meet these needs.
- Coordinates the application and execution of innovative education programs that align with marketing and branding strategies, enable efficacious product use, and contribute to the organization becoming an industry leader in medical education.
- Facilitates processes to identify the educational needs of targeted professional audiences and subsequent use of data and key metrics to generate actionable insights to address discrepancies.
- Analyzes, tracks, and reports on the progress and effectiveness of education initiatives, modifications to training curriculum, and the impact of digital, interactive, and dynamic content formats.
- Responsible for managing operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets.
- Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in science, Business, Education or equivalent ideally with an optometry, business, or science background
- Communication with professional certifications in training, coaching, or sales-related disciplines are advantageous.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in eye care industry as an Optometrist or trainer / manager in optical stores/ eye health organisations , with proficiency managing digital LMS platforms and multimedia tools for training content development in eye care professional, using e-learning platforms and multimedia tools for training content development.
- Strong understanding of sales methodologies, strategic selling, negotiation techniques, and CRM tools like Sales force effectiveness, Tableau. Ability to tailor training content to various learning styles and skill levels. Effective presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of building strategic partnerships with customers across all levels, owners & store levels
- Experience handling sales & key accounts preferably from Optical or FMCG industry with basic knowledge of brand & category management
- Ability to travel at least 10% as and when required.
