Job Description

Applications are invited for the following full-time position in the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health:

Research Assistant (1 year, Mobile health (mHealth) projects)

We are looking for a full-time research assistant to support MOE-funded research as a project coordinator. He/she will be working under the Principal Investigator, Senior Research Fellow Dr. Su Park. Candidates need to be able to support in the recruitment of research participants, obtain informed consent from participants, collect data, assist in ethics application, track progress, and assist in preparing grant application and communicating with study participants. The candidate will closely work with the Principal Investigator and have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital health research.


Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the administration and management of research projects, including recruiting and managing participants.
  • Conducting research fieldwork, including surveys, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and participants observation.
  • Preparation of meeting materials for stakeholders.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • BSc in a social science, life science, psychology, anthropology, or related disciplines
  • Proficient in Chinese language is essential as the position will work with Chinese-speaking participants.
  • Proven experience in conducting survey fieldwork or research data collection is a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, as well as administrative skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in technology
  • Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the elderly.
