JOB SUMMARY:
The incumbent will oversee the electrical design and implementation of water treatment systems and associated components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with expertise in designing electrical systems, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and codes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design electrical systems for water treatment systems and associated components such as skids, pumps, control panels, and instruments.
- Provide design support for various electrical services including high-tension (HT), low-tension (LT), and instrumentation, control, and automation (ICA) systems.
- Coordinate with engineering, project management, and process teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Assist and support the team in the design and implementation phases of projects.
- Accountable for the design of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and codes.
- Demonstrate expertise in power distribution systems, circuitry, load protection systems, and communication systems.
- Oversee project conception, design, and specifications, managing scheduling, estimating, and procurement of materials.
- Utilize AutoCAD software for the development and updating of all electrical drawings.
- Draft electrical drawings including wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and cable routing layouts.
- Prepare technical documents such as input/output (IO) lists, PLC programming, datasheets, and specifications.
- Conduct monitoring, functional checks, settings, testing, and failure analysis on electrical systems.
- Assist in the preparation of electrical engineering calculations, including equipment sizing, feeder sizing, and equipment selection.
- Provide guidance to designers to ensure accurate and efficient drawing preparation.
- Coordinate requirements with other disciplines to ensure interdisciplinary compatibility.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to achieve project objectives.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- At least 5-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the water treatment or related industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software for electrical design and drafting, MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and work with minimal supervision.
