Job Description:
- Perform welding repair and assembly of aircraft components with gas tungsten arc welding/ tungsten inert gas processes
- Use measuring instruments such as gauge blocks, height gauges, dial indicators and callipers to examine components
- Perform various jobs such as cutting, grinding, sheet metal and assembly works with hand or power tools which include portable riveting guns, squeezers, abrasive tools and torque wrenches
- Meet repair production schedule and delivery requirements
- Suggest new tooling design and modification to existing tooling when required
- Participate in cost control initiatives and continuous improvement projects/ events
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- NITEC or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in welding aircraft alloy material or in tungsten inert gas/ gas tungsten arc welding. On the job training will be provided for candidates who does not possess relevant working experience.
- Able to read and follow Repair/OEM specifications
- Able to perform rotating shift work, and support overtime, if required
- Open to cross-training and multi-tasking
