Business Development Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager with a strong background in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. The Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in expanding our presence in the construction market and ensuring the successful implementation of business development strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Research and Analysis:Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential opportunities in the construction industry.
    Analyze customer needs, preferences, and industry demands to develop targeted business development strategies.
  2. Strategic Planning:Develop and implement comprehensive business development plans to achieve company goals and objectives in the construction sector.
    Identify key market segments and tailor strategies to penetrate and establish a strong presence in those segments.
  3. Client Relationship Management:Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and key stakeholders in the construction industry.
    Identify and engage with potential clients, architects, contractors, and other decision-makers to generate new business opportunities.
  4. Proposal and Presentation:Prepare compelling business proposals and presentations to showcase the company's capabilities and unique value proposition to potential clients.
    Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals align with operational capabilities and project feasibility.
  5. Negotiation and Contract Closure:Lead negotiations with clients to secure contracts and agreements that are mutually beneficial.
    Work closely with legal and finance teams to ensure contract terms and conditions are in line with company policies.
  6. Revenue Growth:Meet and exceed revenue targets through effective business development initiatives.
    Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
  7. Collaboration and Teamwork:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management, engineering, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of projects and client satisfaction.
    Provide leadership and mentorship to the business development team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  8. Market Intelligence:Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and innovations to provide insights for business development strategies.
    Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build industry relationships.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience of minimum 8 years in business development and end-to-end sales. Experience in the core construction industry would be an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and project lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. On job training will be provided for the suitable candidates who are having more than 8 years of experience in business development in any other field.
