Job Summary
Based in Singapore, the Assistant Marketplace Manager primary responsibility is to support the overall management and optimization of marketplace activities. You will work closely with the Digital Marketplace team to enhance the online presence across various digital platforms. Your role involves a combination of strategic planning, data analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams both internal and external to achieve business goals.
Primary Relationships
The position works together with the Digital Marketplace team and reports directly to the Global Digital Marketing Manager.
Within the organization, this position will also work with Digital, PR, Marketing and Digital Warehouse team at TWG HQ as well as similar positions within subsidiaries, partner and franchise organisations.
Outside the organization, the position coordinates primarily with marketplace account teams and agencies.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible in managing and optimizing online marketplaces such as Lazada, Amazon, Tmall or other e-commerce platforms.
- Monitor and analyze marketplace performance metrics, sales, and enhanced consumer shopping experience.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for corporate strategy, brand image, channel growth, including regular reporting and data analysis to optimize marketplace performance
- Gather and analyze market trends, identifying growth opportunities in new marketplaces and ensuring successful entry into new markets.
- Oversee daily e-commerce operations, including listing, inventory, orders, payments and return/exchanges.
- Manage each marketplace account, covering budgeting, forecasting, stock management, and performance and ROI tracking.
- Collaborate with the design team to create creative engaging content for platforms.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including PR, marketing, sales, Digital Warehouse and customer service, to drive marketplace activities with overall business goals.
- Coach and guide subsidiaries/partners/franchises in implementing their strategic plans while ensuring strict adherence to brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with agencies to create and manage paid media campaigns from start to finish, including budget allocation, targeting, and ongoing optimization.
- Monitor campaign performance, analyse data, and provide insights to improve Purchases, ROI, ROAS.
- Craft headlines and copy, including editing and proofreading tasks.
- Analyze and identify trends across the online customer journey, providing insights and recommendations to identify opportunities for growth
- Actively share best practice learnings across markets
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital, or Business disciplines.
- 5 years+ of relevant experience in any of the following: e-commerce, digital marketing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Words, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Demonstrated experience in managing paid media campaigns, optimization, and budget management.
- Good communication skills, both written & verbal.
- Fluency in written and spoken Chinese or French is required.
- Previous experience in e-commerce, marketplace management, or related roles is often preferred.
- Possesses strong business acumen and analytical skills, with a results-oriented and problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to adapt to changes in the e-commerce landscape and marketplace policies.
- Team player with the ability to inspire others and collaborate cross-functionally.
