As a Junior IT Audit Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the IT audit function within the organization. Your primary focus will be on assisting with the evaluation of IT systems and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. You will work closely with senior IT auditors and other stakeholders to identify risks, assess controls, and recommend improvements to mitigate potential threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in IT Audit Activities: Support senior auditors in conducting IT audits, including planning, scoping, and executing audit procedures in accordance with established standards and methodologies.
- Compliance Evaluation: Assist in assessing the compliance of IT systems and processes with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOX, HIPAA), industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001), and internal policies.
- Risk Identification and Assessment: Participate in risk assessment activities to identify and prioritize IT-related risks to the organization's assets, operations, and reputation.
- Control Testing: Assist in testing the effectiveness of IT controls by performing walkthroughs, documentation reviews, and testing procedures.
- Documentation and Reporting: Document audit findings, including deficiencies and recommendations, in clear and concise audit reports. Contribute to the development of management and audit committee presentations.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, compliance, and business units, to understand IT-related processes and risks. Communicate audit results and recommendations to stakeholders effectively.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging IT risks, regulations, and best practices. Contribute to the enhancement of audit methodologies, tools, and processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
- Strong understanding of IT concepts, including network security, system development lifecycle, and IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT).
- Familiarity with EGRC tools and platforms (e.g., RSA Archer, MetricStream) is preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex IT environments and identify control weaknesses.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
