Job Summary

Based in Singapore, the PR & Content Manager is responsible for planning, developing, overseeing and implementing public relations strategies and communications content on a global level. The position is also responsible for directing the efforts of PR agencies and coordinating at the strategic and tactical levels with the other departments of the brand’s regional offices.


Primary Relationships

This position works directly with the PR and Content team, and reports directly to the Head of Communications.

Within the organization, this position will also work with the Marketing, Digital and CRM teams and will also have working relationships with the Design and Operations teams, the Tea Institute, as well as staff with similar positions within partner and franchise organisations. Outside the organization, the position has secondary working relationships with PR agencies, digital agencies, advertising agencies, event companies and any other service providers (photographers, videographers, printers, etc).


Job Descriptions

  • Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive public relations program that will enhance the brand’s luxury image and global positioning within the marketplace and the general public.
  • Conceiving and implementing global PR strategies, and directing the creation of content calendars, press releases, announcements, and media alerts.
  • Overseeing the updating of company information including boilerplates, management bios, interview Q&A’s, etc.
  • Acting as TWG Tea’s brand representative with the media and influencers, overseeing on-site execution of media hosting and press events.
  • Coordinate with target media and key opinion leaders on media requests, photoshoots, invitations and giftings.
  • Monitor press and social media coverages, global trends and inform the team of developments in luxury, retail and F&B industries.
  • Working with TWG Tea subsidiaries, franchises and distributors to ensure implementation of brand and editorial guidelines and directives.
  • Overseeing the creation of global content calendars in accordance with brand guidelines.
  • Managing any crises in collaboration with PR teams and PR agencies in Singapore and overseas.
  • Ensuring the PR team maintain proper archives of global media clippings and regularly updating PR reporting standards.
  • Ensuring the PR team and agencies achieve targets, goals and objectives.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of TWG Tea global media databases and periodically revising and refreshing media outreach to constantly remain current.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in communications, public relations and influencer marketing with demonstrated success, preferably in the luxury retail sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications and public relations preferred.
  • Past experience working in a PR agency or luxury brand PR and content team is preferred.
  • Applicants must be fluent in written and spoken English & Chinese.

Others

  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of luxury marketing, communications and public relations activities.
  • Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal skills.
  • Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases, making presentations and negotiating with media.
  • Computer literacy in word processing, data base management and page layout.
  • Commitment to working in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
  • Out-of-town, overnight travel to Singapore or within the region might be required from time to time (less than 5%).
