Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Manager located in Singapore. The Manager will oversee all aspects of book publishing including business development, manuscript acquisition, editorial work, book design and layout, printing, and distribution. They will work closely with distributors, authors, editors, and production staff to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will potentially be the General Manager of the Company over time.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communication, Business or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in book publishing
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Thorough understanding of the publishing industry and market trends
- Familiarity with publishing software such as Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience in marketing and promoting books
- Commitment to diversity and inclusivity in publishing
- Experience in Business Development is necessary with strong market presence
- Strong product management capability
