Role Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Accountant with previous startup or FinTech experience to join our dynamic and fast-growing financial group - SDAX Financial Pte Ltd.
You will be part of the Finance team in Singapore and reporting to the Finance Manager.
Job Description
Accounting
- Prepare monthly actual cash flows reports and monthly cash flows forecasts update (including brief variance analysis)
- Prepare monthly management report and consolidation package and provide commentaries on key variances
- Responsible for full spectrum of monthly closing, which includes accruals, prepayments and reconciling of intercompany balances
- Responsible for timely billing of invoices to customers and arrears management
- Responsible for timely payment of invoices to vendors and fund transfers in accordance with Delegation of Authority limits
- Prepare month end audit schedules, cashflow statement, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare management and MAS reports, as well as variance analysis
- Liaise with external auditors and provide support to the team for statutory reporting
- Review tax computations and liaise with tax agent to manage the tax filing process
- Ensure corporate and statutory requirements are met and reports are submitted on a timely basis
- Responsible for yearly budgeting exercise for all assigned entities
- Maintain general office files and contracts
- Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned
Platform Management
- Finance operational matters for an online marketplace platform which includes:
- Liaising with operations department on daily e-wallet deposit and withdrawal
- Trust account reconciliation
- Liaise with Commerical department on loan disbursements and other matters
Requirements and Qualifications
- Diploma in Accounting/Degree in Accounting/ACCA
- 5 years of relevant working experience in Finance/Accounting department
- Good team player with strong communication skills who is able to work independently and as a team
- Meticulous with an eye for details, proactive, keen to learn and possess a positive attitude
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with good time management skills to meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office eg. Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Those who can start immediately or within a short notice period will have an added advantage.
- Work experience in professional accounting firms will be an added advantage.
