Job Description
You will work as the lead engineer in a team of software engineers and electrical engineers developing Electronic Design Automation (EDA) simulation software through the Keysight/PSS Project lifecycle (PLC) from Concept to Shipment. Your products focus on the signal integrity market and you will be collaborating with other teams and working as a whole on our flagship product, the Advanced Design System (ADS).
We are seeking an experienced RnD electrical engineer with strong CS skills, experience in programming, experience working with High Speed serial standards (USB, PCIe, etc) and Memory Standards (DDR, HBM, etc) and experience in a technically leading other team members.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Research, design, and implement EDA software for Signal Integrity applications
- Technically lead teams to deliver quality products on time following the Agile software development process.
- Be the technical lead for a fully Agile software development team in a geographically distributed organization
- Collaborate with multi-functional product development teams to deliver solutions that enhance and complement our overall Signal Integrity EDA flow
- Lead by example and help grow a high-performance team and nurture a culture in software organization of quality, ownership, collaboration, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making.
- Provide technical support to key customers
- Make technical presentation to senior management
- Research problems discovered by QA or Customers and provide products fixes
- Work independently with minimal supervision and may take on some planning and mentoring responsibilities.
- Perform complex development activities, including the design, implementation, maintenance, testing and documentation of software modules and sub-systems
Job Qualifications
The essential requirements of the job include:
- BS/MS/PhD in CS or EE
- 7+yrs of hands on experience in complex C/C++/Python software development in a role such as a software architect or senior software engineer or technical project lead
- Expert working knowledge of C++/Python and OOP
- Excellent oral and verbal communication skills
- Experience in geometry processing & simplification, EM simulation, high-frequency design, and S-parameters
- Experience in analysis of high-speed serial and/or DDR channels
- Great team player and willing to take on a variety of projects, customer issues, and quality fixes
- Solid understanding of Jenkins CI/CD development flows and impact of DevOps on architecture
- Passion for crafting efficient and reusable code
It would be a plus if you also possess:
• Prior experience in developing EDA software tools
• Knowledge of EDA tools and EDA flows
