Diamond Ateliers, a premier bespoke lab engagement ring business, is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Assistant to join our team. As a Retail Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our clients, assisting them in creating their dream engagement rings. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for diamonds, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Engagement:Greet and welcome customers to Diamond Ateliers with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
    Understand customer requirements and guide them through the process of selecting or customizing their engagement rings.
    Provide detailed information about diamond characteristics, gemstones, and ring settings to help customers make informed decisions.
  2. Product Knowledge:Stay informed about the latest trends in the jewelry industry, particularly in engagement rings.
    Have a deep understanding of the Diamond Ateliers product range, including the different types of diamonds, metals, and customization options available.
  3. Sales Assistance:Assist customers in choosing the perfect engagement ring within their budget.
    Effectively communicate the value and uniqueness of Diamond Ateliers' lab-grown diamonds and bespoke services.
    Upsell and cross-sell complementary products, such as wedding bands and fine jewelry.
  4. Order Processing:Accurately process customer orders, ensuring all specifications are correctly documented.
    Collaborate with the production team to track and update customers on the status of their orders.
    Manage inventory and ensure that the retail space is well-stocked and visually appealing.
  5. Customer Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, fostering repeat business and positive word-of-mouth referrals.
    Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:

  1. Education:High school diploma or equivalent. A background in gemology, jewelry, or a related field is a plus.
  2. Experience:Previous experience in retail, preferably in the jewelry industry.
    Proven track record of achieving sales targets and providing excellent customer service.
  3. Skills:Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    Basic understanding of gemstones, diamonds, and jewelry terminology.
    Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  4. Technology:Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills.
    Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software is an advantage.
  5. Professionalism:Present a polished and professional appearance.
    Demonstrate a passion for the jewelry industry and a commitment to ethical practices.
