Oliver Wyman's Financial Services practice helps the world's leading financial institutions address their most significant challenges to shape the future of the industry. We have an unparalleled understanding of the evolving market structures, economics, and strategic and regulatory trends across all segments of the financial services sector. Our distinct approach is characterized by deep specialization and rigorous fact-based analysis.
We are searching for highly qualified Associate candidates, for strategy consulting roles working broadly across financial services for our business and are looking for candidates with relevant work experience preferably in Financial Services and/or Management consulting. Experience could be from working at financial institutions or supporting them in consulting capacity.
What you will do:
Associates break down complex problems into discrete tasks, identifying the key aspects of a problem and directing the focus of junior consultants to those elements. You will effectively plan and execute analysis as well as identify the core issues in complex analyses in order to be able to craft suitable recommendations. You’ll work side by side with clients and your project team members to move projects forward and manage small teams to get the work done. Clients and colleagues look to Associates for unique insight into the subject area which they have chosen.
- Managing the execution of individual project modules. This typically includes developing hypotheses, managing data collection, model creation and analyses, conducting primary and secondary research, creatively tackling information limitations, and surfacing insights.
- Supporting our Partner group in project delivery through accurate and high quality case execution
- Owning and developing executive client relationships, presenting to a wide range of audiences, and working day-to-day with clients and other stakeholders.
- Reporting to Engagement Managers and Principals, effectively seeking guidance on technical and senior-level steer to projects
- Coaching consultants and helping them develop their skill sets
- Lead workstream related to retail banking operational efficiency improvement, including sales support, mid / back office operation processes; as well as customer experience and journey improvement
- Need to be able to lead direct client communication, including preparation of client workshop
- Requiring candidate to have hands-on project experience related to retail banking and digital banking, related to customer journey design / process design, etc.
What you will bring:

- A minimum of 4-6 years, ideally with a top-tier strategy consulting firm or project-based, team-oriented environments.
- Track record of leading and managing teams or work streams and delivering against tight deadlines in fast paced and demanding environments
- Strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills
- Financial services industry knowledge, breadth across or depth within one of our practice areas is preferred.
- Ability to apply content knowledge for thought leadership in project execution, develop new intellectual capital to support business development activities, and for Manager and Principal hires to lead these activities
- Outstanding communication skills; confidence in presenting to senior executives
- Undergraduate and/or advanced degree from a top academic program
- Willingness to travel
