Join us as a Housekeeping Supervisor (Public Area) in Holiday Inn Express Singapore Katong. You’ll have ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills. Because, for this vital role, we’re looking for someone who can:


Financial Returns:

  • Works with Superior / Housekeeping Manager in the preparation and management of the Department’s budget.


People:

  • Supervise the implementation of housekeeping standards and procedures.
  • Prepare and distribute public areas’ special projects to assigned staff and review priorities
  • Schedule daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly deep clean program
  • Recommended changes to these standards and training needs on an ongoing basis
  • Solve employee grievances
  • Ensure consistency within the department
  • Works with Superior and Human Resources on manpower planning and management needs
  • Open and close the shift and ensure effective shift hand over
  • Management of all incoming and outgoing calls


Guest Experience:

  • Maintain a current and thorough knowledge of all housekeeping systems
  • Perform Routine inspections of all public areas’ cleanliness
  • Liaise with Front Office for guest and hotel requirements
  • Liaise and follow-up with Engineering on public area defects
  • Co-ordinate special projects (example window and carpet cleaning)
  • Anticipate guests’ needs and deliver True Responsiveness
  • Management of lost property for the hotel
  • Ensure you have complete knowledge of layouts and facilities


Responsible Business:

  • Maintain daily cleaning checklist report filing
  • Manage and maintain cleaning equipments
  • Participate in weekly public areas walk with HOD to identify areas of improvement.
  • Conducts shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known


Qualifications and Requirements:

Minimum Diploma or equivalent plus 2 years’ housekeeping experience preferably in a hotel of similar size and complexity and including supervisory experience or training.
