Job Summary:
As a Storekeeper, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the efficient operation of the company's storage facilities. Your primary duties include receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and other items, as well as keeping accurate records of inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials and supplies.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory records through regular audits and cycle counts.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to fulfill material requests in a timely manner.
- Storage and Organization:
- Properly store items to maximize space utilization and ensure easy retrieval.
- Implement and maintain an organized system for easy identification and access to stored materials.
- Safeguard stored materials by adhering to safety and security procedures.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns.
- Generate regular reports on inventory levels, consumption, and trends.
- Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile any discrepancies in inventory records.
- Communication:
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their material needs and address any concerns.
- Communicate effectively with team members and superiors regarding inventory status and potential issues.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct regular quality checks on incoming materials to ensure they meet the required standards.
- Report and address any damaged or defective items promptly.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Oversee the maintenance of storage equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards for timely resolution.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar role.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of inventory management software and basic computer skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items.

Benefits and Salary:
