Senior Legal Operations Analyst

Prolegis Llc

Supporting the Disputes practice and directors in Prolegis with all daily functions and region-wide operations projects including:

· Supporting the partners, lawyers and support staff with their decision-making on any aspects of legal project management and legal technology for legal mandates

· Assisting in our formal responses to tenders and other opportunities to deliver legal mandates using legal project management and legal technology

· Supporting the design, development and implementation of self-service tools and materials for legal matters

· Proactive monitoring of matter budgets and work scopes against actual performance and presenting findings to key stakeholders

· Assisting in the preparation of milestone/post matter analysis to be presented to key stakeholders

· Creating and running internal training sessions for lawyers, secretaries and business services teams

· Assisting the creation and delivery of internal training sessions for lawyers, secretaries and business services teams

· Identifying opportunities to leverage the skills of the Pricing, Legal Transformation and Legal Operations Advisory teams and working with them seamlessly.

Supporting Herbert Smith Freehills, Prolegis Former Law Alliance ("FLA") partner as need be on project specific deliverables in conjunction with the work and the business of the FLA.

Legal Operations and Legal Project Management

· Support Disputes to win new work and retain existing work in Asia through Legal Operations contributions to pitches/proposals

· Provide structured legal project management support on large complex matters throughout the matter lifecycle

· Lead financial reporting processes and use various tools (Excel pivot; PowerBI; native dashboard visualisations) to analyse and report data against agreed metrics

· Develop lawyer capabilities through training, use of behavioural change methodologies and tools

· Assist the senior leadership and other teams in working with clients to develop solutions to specific client issues

· Promote the Legal Operations and Legal Project Management functions, including user education, training and other presentations and communications

· Support the with aspects of implementation of strategic firm-wide or in the case of work with or for the FLA, regional or practice group projects

· Manage Legal Operations hub content

· Collaborate with the necessary teams to support the operationalising of appropriate legal technology solutions or broader legal transformation projects within legal teams in [Region]

Legal Technology

· Build, update, maintain, and administer HighQ, SharePoint and/or deal rooms and data sites, to support management of large and complex legal matters

· Provide end-to-end desk side user support for legal matters in Disputes

· Design data visualisations for legal matters in PowerBI and similar reporting platforms

· Support the design of, and monitor and manage, automation and technology solutions such as Contract Express and Kira in Disputes

· Deliver training and demonstrations to lawyers, secretaries and other business services teams on process and technology use and adoption

· Take the lead on legal process design opportunities by creating process maps, supporting the delivery of managed service pilots, and creating quick guides for clients and lawyers

· Work with Prolegis' FLA partner's Legal Transformation and Legal Operations Advisory teams in Australia as needed to manage legal technology projects with clients and serve as immediate stakeholder and interface to the team.

  • 3 years' plus working experience in a professional services environment (law firm preferred)
  • Strong technical skills (experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Sharepoint (Microsoft Office 360) essential; experience HighQ an advantage)
  • Experience of managing large scale, local and multijurisdictional Disputes matters using key Legal Project Management skills and technology
  • Experience of using a Financial Practice Management System (e.g. Elite or Aderant Expert) an advantage
  • Experience of using PowerBI (or PowerAutomate tools) for analysis and reporting.
