Job Purpose: This role is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of custody services and corporate actions processing for the brokerage and investment bank's clients. This role involves ensuring timely and accurate processing of corporate actions events, managing client relationships, and providing strategic guidance to the team.


Key Responsibilities:


Custody Services Management:

  • Oversee the custody services function, including safekeeping, settlement, and asset servicing for client accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to custody operations.
  • Develop and implement best practices for custody operations to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks.
  • Monitor industry trends and developments in custody services to identify opportunities for improvement.

Corporate Actions Processing:

  • Lead the corporate actions team in processing all types of corporate actions events, including dividends, mergers, acquisitions, and stock splits.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, issuers, and market intermediaries, to ensure timely and accurate processing of corporate actions.
  • Develop and maintain procedures and controls for corporate actions processing to minimize errors and mitigate risks.
  • Provide expertise and guidance on complex corporate actions events and their impact on client portfolios.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding custody and corporate actions services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and requirements.
  • Collaborate with sales and relationship management teams to identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling custody services to existing clients.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Provide leadership and direction to the custody and corporate actions team, ensuring alignment with the bank's goals and objectives.
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide feedback to team members to drive performance excellence.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred
  • At least 10 years of experience in local and global custody services and voluntary and mandatory corporate actions processing within the financial services industry, with a proven track record of leadership and managerial experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve goals and objectives.
