Job Title: EHS Executive
Reports to: EHS Manager
Job Overview:
My Client, a renowned Chemicals MNC is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Executive. As an EHS Executive, he/she will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of employees, protecting the environment, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and organisational requirements. The EHS Executive’s role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities and requires a strong understanding of environmental, health, and safety.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the EHS department with inspections, training and documentation
- Well-versed with Safety, health & environment legislations.
- Conduct risk assessments and prepare method statement.
- Tabulate monthly EHS performance indicator and conduct EHS inspection to identify hazards with implementation of corrective action.
- Assist in conducting accident/ incident and near miss investigations and monitor corrective actions.
- Participate on monthly & daily workplace inspection to detect existing or potential hazards, recommend corrective or preventive actions and follow up to ensure that measures have been implemented.
- Maintain and control all IMS documentations and attend to internal & external parties audits.
- Assist the EHS Manager in managing the Permit to Work system.
- Conduct relevant training such as safety induction course and EHS related training.
- Assist with conducting emergency response drills and CERT emergency response.
- Assist with licensing matters with relevant local authorities.
- Assist with monthly PUB and NEA reporting.
- Liaise with supplier on PPE purchase and distribution.
- Familiar with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & bizSAFE standards and audit procedures.
- Ah-hoc duties as assigned by the EHS Manager.
Requirements:
- Preferably possess Degree/ Diploma in Occupational Safety and health or equivalent field.
- Proficient in English and good communication skills.
- Candidate must possess internal auditor certificate for ISO 14001 or ISO 45001.
- WAH Manager, Confined Space Assessor are an added advantage.
- Must have good computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and database entry.
- Experience working in chemical or waste management industry.
- Possess positive working attitude.
- At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Location: Tuas
Working Hours: Mon to Fri 830 - 1730, Sat 830 - 1200
