JOB DESCRIPTION
* Design and develop mechanical equipment/sysytems, keeping in mind the budget, timelines and other essential resources.
* Report to the Operations Manager and report to the company regarding the status of each project.
* Perform regular tests and experiments to determine how to better improve a component.
* Use of design software to plan the mechanical design projects.
* Liaise with specialist vendors/fabricators to address production issues.
* Ensure compliance of drawings with regulatory specification.
* Troubleshoot problems and devise solutions to resolve them.
* Research and keep up with the dynamic technology and trends in the mechanical design spectrum.
REQUIREMENTS
* Diploma in Engineering
* Knowledge in dealing with engineering drawings and 3D modelling.
* Experience working with designing software - Solidworks or Autodesk Inventor.
* Prior working experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer and hands on mechanical fabrication work.
* Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Strong verbal, written and communicatins skills.
* Sound Knowledge of Computer Applications and Microsoft Office.
* Willing to work on weekends and travel occasionally if required.
