Roles and Responsibilities
• Liaison with ship owners, vendors as well as departments on project requirements and costs.
• Estimation and Projection of Shipbuilding, Upgrading, Repair and Conversion Cost
• Negotiate and coordinate with all parties on project schedule
• Assist to manage and lead commercial team including development, training, performance management and succession planning
• Resolving contractual and commercial problems and to report to the management regularly
• Manage internal relationships with operations, commercial, Sales and Marketing to ensure optimal performance and to provide commercial requirements for projects and sales activities.
• Interpreting financial, operational, commercial or customer insights to ensure a commercial/billing issue is fully understood and that hard hitting action are taken and constantly reviewed
• Developing, reviewing and optimizing commercial strategies against key competitors
• Work with the Sales team to target specific ‘high value’ customers and ensuring the business is maximizing revenue
• Extensive experience in the required field
• Proven ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.
• Proven ability to prioritize and complete work assignments by specific deadlines.
