Main duties:
- Follow all relevant Safe Systems of Work and report health & safety concerns.
- Carry out process inspection of raw materials and semi-finished components.
- Maintain records of work quality processes.
- Inspect raw materials, components and forgings.
- Perform daily / weekly calibrations per industry standards
- Perform NDT using the appropriate method as detailed in the quality documentation.
- Understand inspection/test procedures to industry standards.
- Use own initiative to determine acceptance criteria.
- Undertake visual and dimensional inspections and complete appropriate documentation.
- Perform other duties as and when required by management.
Requirements:
- An NDT background with Level 2 in ultrasonic forgings / wrought products required in conformance with ISO 9712 such as PCN.
- Other qualifications would be advantageous especially MT, PT & ideally PMI experience.
- A background working with a wide range of materials and supplying into the oil & gas sector.
- Previous experience and certification working with forgings would be a distinct advantage however training will be provided.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Ability to work unsupervised using own initiative.
- Computer literacy
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Proactive ‘can-do’ attitude mixed with personal drive and motivation.
