The Banquet Manager is responsible for overall smooth daily operations of the banquets and events functions in the club. He/she is responsible in delivering excellent guests’ experience to optimise sales and profit as well as ensuring staffing levels meet demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day set up, ensuring that all settings meet the entire requirements from guests based on the Banquet Event Orders (BEO)
- Responsible in meeting up with event organisers and hosts to liaise on the program flow and details, ensuring success and smooth execution of event
- Handles guests’ complaints and feedback as appropriate and follow up
- Responsible for the daily planning to ensure efficiency within Banquet Operations
- Monitors operational stocks, ensuring that all supplies are sufficient, and requisitions are raised promptly
- Assist Banquet Team in annual inventory stock takes and ensures inventories are matched with Master List
- Continuously build strong pool of casual labors to support operations as needed
- Ensure team members adhere to the grooming standards set by the Club
- Conduct briefing before operations, train, supervise and manage the team
- Ensures all serving crews comply with the required cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with various departments and co-workers
Job Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Hospitality/Tourism or equivalent
- 5 years of working experience in Banquet Operations and similar capacity
- Experienced in handling high volume banquet operations
- Excellent interpersonal skills and banquet management skills
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Demonstrated strong ability to work independently and as a team
