Safety Manager

Sentosa Golf Club

The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all employees and guests/members. They will identify potential hazards, assess risks, and develop strategies to mitigate or eliminate them. The Safety Manager will work collaboratively with various departments to promote safety awareness, conduct training sessions, and enforce compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies in compliance with regulations.
  • Identify potential workplace hazards through regular inspections, risk assessments, and analysis of incidents or near-misses.
  • Conduct safety training sessions for employees, supervisors, and management to raise awareness and ensure understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and standards by monitoring workplace activities, conducting audits, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, or safety concerns, and prepare detailed reports outlining findings, root causes, and recommendations for preventive measures.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans, conduct drills, and provide guidance during emergencies to ensure a prompt and organized response.
  • Communicate safety-related information, updates, and best practices to all levels of the organisation through various channels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, operations, and facilities, to integrate safety practices into daily operations and projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and compliance reports.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve safety procedures and programs based on evolving regulations, best practices, and incident trends.

Job Requirements

  • Candidates should ideally possess a Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in Safety & Health as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer registered with Ministry of Manpower and Fire Safety Manager registered with SCDF.
  • Efficient and strong analytical skills, and able to work independently.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to develop and mentor co-workers of all levels.
