We’re looking for an Application Architect to design and build the next generation of applications on our Vehicle Display (HMI), Mobile Companion App (MCA) and Dealer Network System (DMS). As an Application Architect, you will be responsible for defining the overall architecture of the application, as well as working with developers to ensure that the application is built to specification. Responsibilities:
• Work with technical leads, product management, and support teams on various development needs, including planning, coding, testing, and documentation.
• Understand business needs and suggest solutions to problems.
• Compiling and implementing application development plans for new or existing applications.
• Leading the application development team and supervising the design, testing, and modification stages.
• Work with developers to translate product requirements and technical specifications
• Demonstrating application prototypes and integrating user feedback.
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend technology solutions to improve current processes
• Use industry best practices to increase productivity and efficiency
• Develop architecture diagrams and software models
• Develop backend ecosystem establishment (Database & Servers)
• Provide technical leadership and expertise
• Plan and scope projects, create project plans, and set timelines for assigned projects
• Develop prototypes and proof of concepts, and estimate project development time
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior developers
• Create and maintain product documentation including technical guides, user and system documentation, product specifications, and release notes
• Integrating trends in application architecture in application development projects.
• Present ideas to management during brainstorming sessions and project reviews
• Develop and maintain product roadmaps and product positioning documents
• Provide technical support to internal and external customers
Prerequsites:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Computer Science with a specialization in software engineering, application development, or similar
• 7+ years of experience with highly scalable application architectures
• Proven experience architecting software systems
• Experience with vehicle and/or mobile front-end technologies
• Experience with Big Data technologies
• Experience with Cloud
• Superb organizational and time management skills.
