OPERATIONS MANAGER #SGUP

1. Role Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our pub. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pub management, a passion for the hospitality industry, and the ability to lead a team in providing excellent service to our patrons.


2. Specific Responsibilities:
• Understand the local and national regulations pertaining to the sale and service of alcohol.
• Obtain and maintain all necessary licenses and permits for the operation of the pub.
• Develop a system for ensuring compliance with age verification and responsible service of alcohol.
• Stay informed about changes in liquor laws and adjust operations accordingly.
• Train staff on the importance of adhering to liquor licensing regulations.
• Implement effective security measures to ensure the safety of patrons and staff.
• Develop a comprehensive crowd management plan for peak hours and special events.
• Train security personnel on conflict resolution and handling disruptive behavior.
• Establish procedures for handling potential security threats or emergencies.
• Regularly review and update security protocols to address evolving challenges.
• Implement inventory management systems to track and control stock levels effectively.
• Develop strategies for minimizing wastage and controlling costs related to beverage inventory.
• Establish relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and prices.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy in inventory records.
• Implement measures to prevent theft and pilferage of stock.
• Plan and coordinate live entertainment events to enhance the pub's atmosphere.
• Develop relationships with local artists, bands, and performers for regular performances.
• Implement effective event management strategies for themed nights, parties, and promotions.
• Ensure the pub's facilities are equipped to accommodate live performances and events.
• Coordinate marketing efforts to promote upcoming events and attract a diverse audience.
• Develop efficient staff scheduling procedures to meet operational needs during peak hours.
• Conduct regular training sessions to ensure staff members are well-versed in pub operations.
• Foster a positive and customer-focused culture among staff.
• Train employee on responsible service practices, including recognizing signs of intoxication.
• Implement cross-training initiatives to enhance staff flexibility and cover various roles.
• Develop strategies for creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for patrons.
• Train staff on effective customer service, including order-taking, conflict resolution, and communication.
• Implement loyalty programs and promotions to enhance customer retention.
• Establish feedback mechanisms to gather customer opinions and address concerns.
• Use customer feedback to make informed decisions about improvements and adjustments to operations.
