Internal Audit Manager
To be part of the Regional Internal Audit team, conducting and completing audit assignments and working with other Internal Audit team members around the globe. The Internal Audit Manager will report to their Regional Head of Internal Audit and will assist management to improve the control environment within all business units and fulfill Internal Audit’s governance role. This means providing independent objective assurance to the Audit Committee, and assisting the CEO and CFO in the effective discharge of their responsibilities to the Lendlease Group Board in the areas of financial, operational and health & safety risk management and internal control.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Regional Head of Internal Audit to define the regional Internal Audit Strategy and Plan
- Provide support to create and manage the regional Internal Audit plan based on a risk based approach to Internal Audit
- Maximise the impact of audit through focus on the major strategic, regulatory, financial, operational and health & safety risks facing Lendlease
- Assist and advise the regions with the implementation of framework, policies and standards across the businesses
- Formulate, develop, plan and conduct scheduled audit reviews in accordance to Lendlease Audit Compliance and Execution Standards (LACES).
- Plan individual audits based on an assessment of process risks and controls, design audit programmes in line with risk assessment and carry out fieldwork within agreed timeframes, the Terms of Reference and the audit programme.
- Produce quality audit reports and AC summaries in line with agreed reporting timelines and discuss findings with management.
- Co-ordinate the audit close-out process and escalate business critical issues quickly.
- Drive management commitment to generate solutions in response to audit findings
- Follow up management actions post audit.
- Assist the Regional Head of Internal Audit in the delivery of audit communications and reporting to the RMAC and the board where required.
- Assist and conduct reviews for business integrity matters in accordance with Lendlease’s Business Integrity Review Framework.
- Act as a ‘sounding board’ and advisor to peers with regard to audit and internal control matters.
- Monitor new developments in auditing techniques.
- Ensure activities related to the function comply with legal, ethical and Lendlease standards.
Strategic
- Form an effective working relationship with the regional business unit Heads of Risk, Compliance and EH&S.
- Promote internal audit function as business partner across the organisation.
Operational Excellence
- Effectively plan and manage all phases of the audit process, from planning and risk identification, fieldwork, reporting writing, close out and follow up.
- Adhere to audit timeframes committed to in the Terms of Reference.
