Leadership and team management
- Manage a team to oversee the safekeeping and administration of client assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Group/internal policies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Lead and provide guidance and support to team, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Supervise staffing, training, communication of group policies and implement initiatives to support business growth.
- Lead in process improvements and participate in transformation and digitisation projects
Custody services
- Manage relationships with custodian agent banks, regional offices and counterparty brokers to ensure seamless operational processes.
- Review and approve share depositions/withdrawals, transfer of securities, proxy forms.
- Prepare/Review Tax Declaration on REITS to be submitted to depositories/share registrars before deadlines.
- Prepare, manage and reconcile US sourced income for clients across the group and submit the annual US tax reporting to US IRS.
- Ensure timely reporting of Monthly MIS to management and regulatory bodies.
Corporate Actions
- Implement process enhancements for timely and accurate processing of corporate actions, including compulsory and voluntary corporate actions.
- Closely monitor corporate actions status and follow-up on breaks to promptly resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor market developments and regulatory changes impacting corporate actions, update polices and procedures accordingly.
Client/ Trading Representatives Engagement
- Serve as a key point of contact for client services helpdesk, trading reps and regional offices, address inquiries, resolve issues and provide proactive guidance on custody and corporate action matters.
Skills set
- You should have minimum 10 years of operations experience in the financial industry with a deep understanding of local and global custodial functions, voluntary and mandatory corporate action events, processes and market practices.
- You have strong analytical skills, attention to details, and ability to interpret complex regulations and legal documents.
- You write and speak effectively and are proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. VBA skills will be an added advantage.
- You possess strong organizational and managerial skills and able to prioritise tasks to meet tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- You are an excellent team player with a change mentality, adaptable to changes and able to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders and across functional teams.
