Engineer Sales Manager

Introduction:

DAIHATSU DIESEL (ASIA PACIFIC) PTE. LTD. was established in Singapore in 1982 as an exclusive distributor in Asia of DAIHATSU DIESEL MFG CO., LTD, the manufacturer of medium-speed diesel engines for medium and large vessels, power plants, and so on.

We provide the following services based on a sole agency agreement with DAIHATSU DIESEL MFG CO., LTD.

• Sales of internal combustion engine-related products
• Sales support
• Maintenance service of internal combustion engine

In order to expand our business, we are looking for a sales manager who has experience in sales, marketing and promotion of medium-speed diesel engines/Dual Fuel (LNG+Diesel) engines, Alternative Fuel engines such as Methanol/Ammonia/Hydrogen and SCR system.

Job Description:

1. To do any sales, marketing, and promotion activities of medium-speed engines for marine use and land use, including quotation, negotiation, contract, payment and delivery.
2. To understand the customer and market demand and become a bridge between the customers and each department of the Company.
3. To coordinate with other departments of the Company such as design, production, quality management, purchasing, after- sales service and finance
4. To support after-sales service including sales of spare parts and service jobs on board/at site.
5. Open to going on long business trips to India, Bangladesh, Philippines, Middle East etc. for power plant projects.
6. To prepare propulsion package offers such as main engines, gearboxes, propeller and shaft systems, azimuth thrusters and control panels with basic knowledge of system integration of each equipment.

Jobs Requirements:

1. Minimum 10 years’ job experience of sales of medium-speed diesel engines
2. Minimum 3 years’ job experience of sales of Dual Fuel engine
3. Minimum 5 years job experience of sales of Azimuth Thruster with medium-speed main engine.
4. To have more than 5 years of experience in sales of main engine for large fishery boats such as Purse Seiners, Trawlers and Fishery Patrol Boats.
5. To have experience in sales of hybrid propulsion system with PTI for motors
6. To have experience on Sea Trial of new building vessels at least two times/two vessels
7. Good communication skills, highly motivated to inspire a team & a good team player.
8. Good connection with international shipowners and shipbuilders.
9. A strong commitment to safety/compliance/social responsibility procedures are essentially needed.
10. Business level of English and Japanese language proficiency at speaking and writing to liaise with worldwide with emphasis on Japanese-speaking customers. (Requirement qualification: JLPT 1)
11. To have the qualifications or licenses equivalent to Japanese public license and examination below mentioned.
12. Driver’s license (under 11 tons)
