We are a company specializing in supply and trading of marine fuel and bunkering, backed by oil major companies with established global presence. The role of the Deputy General Manager is a senior leadership role within the company. He/she will be responsible for the direction and strategy of the company. As the second in command, the Deputy General Manager reports directly to the General Manager and are responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, including managing employees, planning projects, and making sure everything runs smoothly.
Key accountabilities
- Ensuring all department meets its goals and objectives by setting standards and monitoring performance.
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Making sure that all company policies and procedures are always followed by employees.
- Establishing policies and procedures for the department to ensure efficient operations.
- Reviewing employee performance appraisals to ensure that they are accurate and fair.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with clients or other departments within the organization to promote teamwork and cooperation.
- Overseeing day-to-day business operations within all the department to ensure that it is running smoothly.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in energy related company. Preferably with experience within the China market.
- Deep understanding of fuels market, policy, and regulations in Asia.
- Extensive commercial and refinery knowledge necessary to provide market outlook.
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship management and collaboration skills within large organizations and with broad multi-party outside organizations.
- Strong connection with senior management within China state owned companies.
- Previous track record of team leadership and management skills.
- This role requires proficiency in English and Mandarin both spoken & written to communicate with Mandarin speaking associates.
