About the role
The incumbent will be part of the Sustainability team and will support the Sustainability Manager in implementing sustainability/reducing environmental impact across the company’s operations.
What will you be doing
- Sustainability projects implementation and Continuous Improvement, with a strong focus on developing the 4Rs across our operations:
- Main topics revolve around consumables (tertiary packaging) and circular economy solution.
- In direct contact with the Operations Team, Analysts, Procurement, Vendors, and Customers
- Calculation and presentation of environmental and cost impact
- Benchmark innovative solutions and partners
- Co-create and track project roadmaps
- On a constant look out for innovative solutions and sustainable alternatives
- Research on sustainability topics to build up knowledge database
- Be aware of industry trends, changes and legislations revolving around the sustainability space
- Oversee the tracking, consolidation and analysis of sustainability Key Performance Indicators on a monthly basis
- Oversee biodiversity topics for Singapore warehouse, facilitating different site assessment and active communication between relevant stakeholders to deploy related projects
- Employee Engagement, Empowerment and Communication
- Lead the CSR Employee Engagement Program and be accountable for its budget
- Be the Biodiversity Referent and deploy related projects
- Organize punctual trainings
- Participate in internal and external communication such as newsletters, videos, etc. for CSR project
The successful candidate
- Bachelor’s Degree or above in CSR, Environment, Sustainability or Business Management.
- 2-years professional experience with a deep interest in, and a general awareness of, sustainability issues. Good understanding of sustainability stakes applied to the logistics industry is preferred.
- Passion, knowledge and drive to create a more sustainable world
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Tableau is a plus
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Chinese is a plus.
- Excellent organisational skills, ability to own projects and work independently
- Ability to multitask is necessary
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, familiarity with business writing
- Knowledge of Project Management tools and techniques
- Familiarity with carbon calculation with tools such as GHG protocol is a plus
- Interest in Gardening
