JOB OUTLINE
We are currently recruiting for a Managing Director of NBSSA to manage company. The candidate must be an enthusiastic, proactive and motivated individual with real passion not only for technology and also for company management and accounting knowledge. You are required to work closely with NYK Business Systems headquarters in Japan and all teams and divisions of NBSSA and our customers to ensure the successful delivery of our services.
Candidate is responsible to ensure that the company management, the sales activities to customers and project management are in compliance with NYK Group Credo and business policies. He/she reports to headquarters of NYK Business Systems and to lead not only NBSSA but also group companies in Asia / Oceania region. He/she must ensure timely and accurate response to headquarters and customer’s request, to liaise with each stakeholder (internal/external) to ensure smooth coordination for all transactions including accounting, administration, human resource, pre-sales, contractual work, project P/L, and resource allocation.

Your duties essential for the job:
· Vision and Strategy Development: The Managing Director is responsible for establishing the company’s short-term, mid-term and long-term goals and developing strategies for execution.
· Leadership and Organizational Management: the role involves leading teams, setting the direction of the organization and motivating team members.
· Resource Management and Acquisition: Properly managing and acquiring resources such as personnel, funds and technical resources as needed to support business operations.
· Business Development and Customer Relations: Expanding the business by acquiring new customers and maintaining relationships with existing ones.
· Product/Service Development, Improvement, and Proposal: Analyzing customer needs and promoting the development, improvement, and proposal of products or services.
· Technology Strategy Development: Tracking technology trends and innovations and formulating the company's technology strategy in collaboration with the headquarters.
· Risk Management and Compliance: Addressing legal regulations and security risks to minimize company risks.
· Partnership Management: Building and nurturing relationships with external partners to drive business growth and foster innovation.
· Evaluation and Adjustment of Business Strategies: Regularly assessing business performance and making necessary adjustment to strategies and policies.
· Monitoring and Adaptation to Technology Trends: Continuously adapting to technological changes and leveraging the latest trends and innovations to maintain competitiveness.
· Driving Innovation: Encouraging the development of new ideas and products and driving innovation to sustain competitiveness.
· Communication with Stakeholders: Regularly engaging with stakeholders, including headquarters, customers, and partners to share progress and challenges.
· Talent Development and Team Building: Supporting employee training and career development to enhance skills and motivation and fostering a strong and cohesive team.
· Innovation and Adaptation of Business Models: Promoting company growth through continuous innovation and adaptation of the business model.
Basic requirements:
· Practical experience and technical expertise in the IT industry, along with previous experience in IT company management
· Ability to devise and execute business plans, demonstrating a track record of successful strategic planning and implementation.
· Strong leadership skills to provide guidance and direction to the organization.
· Excellent strategic thinking and planning skills
· Solid financial management skills and budgeting ability.
· Excellent communication skills and negotiation skills.
· Customer service skills to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
· Understanding and experience in software development and system design.
· Risk management and problem-solving abilities specific to IT projects.
· Understanding and measures for infrastructure and cybersecurity.
· Interest and understanding in emerging technologies like AI.
· High ethical standards and a strong sense of responsibility.
· Knowledge in Shipping or Logistics industries is an advantage.
· Possess a minimum JPLT N1 cert in Japanese language to effectively communicate (both verbally and in writing) project updates and make presentations to stakeholders or existing/potential customers.
· Maintaining a positive mindset and remaining composed even in high-pressure situations, demonstrating resilience and problem-solving skills.
· Demonstrating punctuality and having good attendance records, showing reliability and commitment to fulfilling responsibilities.
