Responsibilities:
- To receive orders from marketing and co-ordinate the work for cargo officers and barges.
- Assist is the scheduling for the loading of the cargo from suppliers.
- Ensure that bunker is supplied and documented according to MPA guidelines.
- Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the QA system to the international quality standard.
- Maintaining the Internal Quality Audit Schedule.
- Carrying out Quality Audits.
- Keeping Quality Records for the designated time periods.
- Identifying the need for, and the provision of training.
- Setting the competencies required for functions in the Operations Dept.
- Coordinating and verifying C.A.R.s.
- Coordinating and verifying minutes of the monthly Operational Meetings
- Keeping external documents up to date.
- Maintaining Quality Records
- Implementing and maintaining the Quality Assurance System.
- Confirming the company’s Quality policies are adhered to.
- Confirming that statutory and code requirements are met.
- Monitoring the company Quality System by means of auditing to determine where improvements are needed and verifying implementation of this necessary corrective action.
- Internal audits
- Verifying that approved procedures are adopted within their areas of responsibility.
- Ensuring that office staff are conversant with the company Quality System, its policies and procedures and have ready access to them
- Assist in the documentation for the implementation and maintenance of the Q A system.
- Keeping Quality Records for the designated time periods
- Ad-hoc duties as and when assigned.
Requirements:
- Diploma or professional qualifications in Administration or its equivalent
- At least 2 years’ experience in ship management operations.
- Experience in Bunker operation an advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Results oriented personality who thrives working in a dynamic environment
- Analytical, able to work independently, results-oriented and pro-active.
