Responsibilities
- Ensure clients’ vehicles maintained by the workshop are roadworthy and comply with maintenance programs and standard.
- Manage workshop's performance in achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies, procedures and regulations are followed.
- Lead the overall implementation of bus fleet maintenance regime.
- Manage annual budget for the department.
- Manage multiple contractors to ensure safety requirements as well as operating and quality standards are met.
- Lead technical recovery, complex fault analysis and testing of bus fleet and systems.
- Provide technical guidance to maintenance teams.
- Promote LEAN, PIP and any Productivity and Green Movement.
- Review and approve maintenance schedule and manpower plans.
- Review audits on maintenance, repair, and overhaul operations.
- Define procurement specifications for the sourcing of vendors.
- Endorse inspection and maintenance documents for work closure at the workshop level.
- Any ad-hoc jobs as per assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 5 years’ relevant experience in Management / Supervisory position.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-oriented.
- Proficient in software applications such as Microsoft office and SAP.
- Possess Singapore Class 4 driving license will be an added advantage.
- Possess safety, Six Sigma, lean management, or similar certifications will be an added advantage.
