Dairy Derivatives
The dairy derivatives markets are developing rapidly with increasing liquidity across the CME, EEX and SGX. This allows Interfood to hedge our commodity price risk and add value to our customers wanting to limit their exposure. This leading role in the derivatives finance team is responsible for working closely with our derivatives traders in Singapore and maintaining the integrity of the derivatives positions within our limits, ensuring that all the processes run smoothly (position matching, settlement, optimisation of positions across brokers as well as a suite of regular reporting to the business and management). Reporting directly to the finance director for the region this role is growing in profile and is becoming more important as we continually build out our derivatives trading capability within APAC.
Key Responsibilities:
· Daily reconciliation of executed derivatives trades (futures and options) with broker statements and confirmations as well as our internal IT systems.
· Maintaining accurate reporting of derivative transactions and results.
· Ensuring compliance with internal VAR risk limits.
· Managing margin calls/excess cash related to derivatives and work with commercial team to optimise positions across brokers to minimise cash utilisation.
· The preparation of management reports utilising tools such as Powerpoint and Thinkcell applications.
· Working with the project team to improve reporting capabilities of Tableau/JDE.
· Collaborating with the middle office teams in the other Interfood Hubs to drive process efficiencies.
· Supporting derivative traders and finance/business control team in various day to day operations and ad hoc requirements.
· Supporting the finance team in timely month end and annual close.
What we are looking for:
· Degree in finance, economics, maths or a related field
· Experience working in commodities in a similar role within Middle office/risk
· Knowledge of futures and options - essential
· Excellent command of the English language (Mandarin a plus) both verbally and written
· Strong numerical skills and excellent with Excel
· Preferably with VB/SQL, Python knowledge
· Preferably Tableau knowledge
· Assertive, committed, can work independently, proactive
· Strong attention to detail
· Work well within a team
· Good communication skills
