Job Responsibility
· Responsible for the lead of the regional design team. This team takes responsibility for leading all the design work for the data centers located in APEC, the team members are based in the APEC area either. Comprehensive management of the design work for all the projects.
· Responsible for the Data Center’s design, especially leading & managing the design of the new hyper-scale data center in APEC. Ensuring that all design/ consultant work performed is in accordance with established practices, procedures & internal technical standards. Being the project design manager, following up on the project schedule and strategy, supporting the project manager to complete the project.
· Responsible for the technical evaluation/support for new site selection in the APEC.
· Responsible for the regional /local procurement technical support. Ensuring that all the technical performance meets the technical requirements of the project and the company’s internal standards specification. Technical support for the cost optimization & control of the project.
· Responsible for leading the research of advanced technology in the data center area, analyzing the possibility of application of the new technology. Developing and revising the internal data center technical standards and applying the standards to each data center.
· Responsible for the Technical support for procurement of the main equipment, ensuring all the equipment’s parameters can satisfy the technical requirements from the company’s internal standards specifications.
· Responsible for technical support to the project execution in APAC.
· Responsible for the technical support of the sales of the data center. Study & analyze the potential customer technical requirements and support the sales to find the customer.
· Assist in the design, implementation, commissioning, and build-out of new facilities; and assist in the operation of the facility as the high-level technical support.
Basic Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in electrical/mechanical.
· 15+ years or longer data center relative working experience as the designer/consultant or the data center owner, understanding the data center’s overall technical requirements and the design process.
· Proven experience in the lead/management of the designer/consultant in the data center field.
· Experience in remote team member management and understanding different cultures. Proven leadership and organizational skills, good communication skills with different backgrounds team members.
· In-depth knowledge of Data Center critical facilities and systems, including IT power systems, utility power systems, mechanical cooling systems, etc.
· Knowledge of international technical standards and practice for data centers; and the data center technology trends and advanced technologies
· Flexibility with different cultures and environments, with team spirits. Fluently speaking, writing & reading in English.
· Ability to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment.
· Accept international/local short-term business travel.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience as the design team leader in the data center field, especially for the international data center owner.
· International hyper-scale Data Center engineering experience.
· Degree of Master's or above.
· Experience in site selection of the hyper-scale data center.
· Engineer Certification, or Professional Engineer license.
