In this role as a Risk Specialist in Wise’s second line Risk Management Team, you will be a key contributor in, and risk partner for the delivery of the risk management framework in Asia. This role is an exciting opportunity for you if you have some risk management experience and are looking to do impactful work. The role will report to and be supported by the Head of APAC Risk.
Here’s what will you be doing:
- Embed the financial risk management within the Asia countries, as per the regulatory requirements. Perform gap analysis against regulatory requirements, assess and work towards remediation.
- Support appropriate reviews, update, and maintenance of financial risk such as capital management, ICAAP, exit plans, monitor credit exposure, losses, etc.
- Lead and conduct risks assessments relevant to business and provide regular risk reporting and deep dives on relevant risk changes at the committee’s and board.
- Work with business to provide constructive feedback on remediation to business partners and provide governance related support.
- Assist with the regional implementation of Enterprise risk management framework, including risk appetite statement (RAS) and measure using key risk indicators (KRI’s) for key risks within the countries.
- Monitor and manage risks against set appetite for regional entities.
- Support in governance related to risk event and incident management from a 2LoD perspective.
- Delegate for regional risk lead for senior management/ committee reporting.
- Provide support to the group risk management function.
A bit about you:
- Proven experience as a risk manager with experience in implementation of financial risk frameworks such as liquidity and prudential risk.
- Good understanding of risk management and risk reporting systems with ability to develop the systems.
- Comfortable in managing stakeholders.
- Preferably in a Second line risk management role within a financial institution.
