Responsibilities:
- Prepares bill of quantities for tendering of subcontract packages including sourcing out of subcontractors/suppliers
- Handles contract negotiations with subcontractors/suppliers and prepares subcontract agreement
- Handles cost monitoring, adherence to contract specifications and drawings
- Prepares payment certificates of subcontractor
- Evaluate and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreement with subcontractors
- Prepares variation orders and reconciles with the client’s quantity surveyors in accordance to the contract agreement
- Prepares monthly progress claim to client and assists in preparation of cashflow forecast for submission to client
- Coordinates changes in plans with design team and reviews the potential variation claims to client
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying work of rail or civil engineering projects with Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge in LTA project (incl. MRT/Viaduct) as well as construction market circumstance. Familiar with LTA contract i.e., Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract (PSSCOC)
- Meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, good team player & able to meet tight deadlines. Proven abilities in contract negotiation, administration and variations
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Able to commence work with short notice
