Job Summary
This position will be part of the HSE team responsible for ensuring the work site
complies with all regulatory requirements as well as corporate safety standards in
the workplace. The incumbent is expected to conduct effective safety training for
employees. Assists in the execution of HSE policies and programs.
Work closely with the corporate Safety team to roll out global safety initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Implement new HSE programs or initiatives
- Responsible for meeting all environmental reporting requirements
- Conduct internal and follow-up on regional audits for compliance validation
- Responsible for the site's HSE Management System and compliance with its requirements
- Oversee and conduct all required regulatory and compliance training
- Conduct new employee HSE training
- Conduct on-site inspections and identify workplace hazards and unsafe equipment
- Access workplaces, review risk assessments, and approve Permit-To-Work
- Educate and train employees on Fire-fighting and WSH issues
- Manage incidents including the oversight of injuries, incident investigation,
- Root Cause/Corrective Action analysis, and action tracking
- Responsible for the new chemical review process at the site
- Support site leadership on emergency response-related activities including, involvement in the crisis management protocol
- Educate and train employees on Fire-fighting and WSH issues
Requirements:
- Degree with WSH or HSE equivalent qualification
- Advance certificate in WSH (Level B) or higher
- Strong understanding of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, SS506 part 3 and applicable legal requirements
- Good HSE management system, interpersonal and coordination skills
