Our client is a leading retail company in Singapore, dedicated to providing high-quality products and exceptional customer experiences.We are currently seeking an experienced and innovative Store Development Director to lead and oversee the renovation, facilities management, and leasing functions for our retail outlets across Singapore. As the Store Development Director, you will play a vital role in enhancing the overall customer experience and ensuring our stores are optimized to meet the evolving demands of the retail market.

Responsibilities:
Strategic Store Development:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive store development strategy that aligns with the company's growth objectives.
- Identify opportunities for new store openings and store expansions based on market analysis and customer demand.
Retail Outlet Renovation:
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of retail outlet renovation projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, and visual merchandisers, to create inviting and functional store environments.
Facilities Management:
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all retail outlets to ensure they are in top condition at all times.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs and address any issues related to the physical infrastructure of the stores promptly.
Leasing and Property Management:
- Manage the leasing process for new store locations and negotiate lease agreements to secure favorable terms.
- Maintain positive relationships with landlords and property management companies to facilitate smooth store operations.
Budgeting and Cost Management:
- Develop and manage the store development budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness in all initiatives.
- Monitor expenses related to renovation, facilities, and leasing activities to align with financial targets.
Compliance and Regulations:
- Ensure all store development activities comply with local regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
- Stay informed about relevant industry trends and best practices to implement innovative approaches in store development.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and inspire a team of approximately 6 professionals, including project managers, facility managers, and leasing specialists.
- Set performance goals, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide coaching and development opportunities to team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience of at least 8-10 years in store development, facilities management, and leasing within the retail sector.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore's retail market and regulations related to store development and leasing.
- Experience in leading and managing a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering store renovation projects on time and within budget.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively engage with landlords and stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze market data and trends to make informed decisions about store locations and expansions.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for project management and store planning.
