Due to growth, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing global recruitment team in Singapore!


In your role as Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for planning and executing recruitment activities and supporting the business growth. You will implement strategies to ensure that hiring targets are met and will support the attraction and acquisition of high calibre talent. You will strive to provide a best-in-class candidate experience and act as a brand ambassador for recruitment at First Derivative.


Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee and manage the full lifecycle recruiting process for technical positions based in Singapore and assist across wider APAC region
  • Working closely with the Head of APAC and supporting on client needs
  • Acting as a trusted recruitment partner, taking ownership of the successful conclusion of projects, monitoring the effectiveness of recruitment processes, and suggesting improvements.
  • Continuously engaging with talent pools to ensure adequate pipelines are in place for key roles. Providing regular updates on talent shortages, market trends, and candidate status.
  • Conduct pre-screening calls and first stage interviews
  • Liaising with clients to understand their requirements, shortlisting, arranging interviews and confirming projects
  • Understanding the local visa requirements for Singapore and Australia (This will grow to further locations over time)
  • Engaging and working closely with the resourcing team
  • Provide an outstanding candidate experience, from initial introduction to onboarding
  • Work closely with Legal/HR/IT team for the onboarding of new hires


Experience:

  • 4+ years’ experience working in a fast-paced recruitment role.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of requests from hiring managers concurrently.
  • Experience managing multiple candidates and engaging with them to explain in detail the role/projects being discussed.
  • Excellent note taking and administration skills
  • Prior experience working on roles within Financial services experience


Desirable:

  • Global recruitment experience
  • Working knowledge of trading and financial platforms such as Murex and Calypso
  • Working knowledge of key areas and trends in the IT industry; Java, C#, Cloud, GCP, C++, HTML
