Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team in a crucial role focused on ensuring the stability and optimal performance of our network and voice infrastructure. As a key member, you will drive the active participation of partners and suppliers in daily network operations activities, monitor and manage LAN/WAN networks, and collaborate with external vendors. Direct Responsibilities:
- Drive partners/suppliers to actively participate in daily network operations for network/voice infrastructure stability.
- Monitor and manage LAN/WAN network, datacenter connectivity, and extranets.
- Ensure network devices' firmware and OS are up to standard, applying patches regularly.
- Support, configure, and manage Cisco Routers and Switches, Checkpoint VPN appliance, Checkpoint Firewall, Load balancers, and event correlation appliances during infrastructure projects.
- Maximize network performance through monitoring, upgrades scheduling, and collaboration with Network Architects for optimization.
- Act as the escalation point for network operations issues, managing real-time communications 24x7.
- Engage with business parties and external vendors for operations issues.
- Provide comprehensive product knowledge on data technology required for network infrastructure.
- Offer daily level one operation support for telecom services.
- Manage external vendors (carriers, cabling contractors) for daily and project requirements.
- Coordinate and conform to Change Management policies, processes, and procedures for network changes.
- Maintain and update network-related documentation and risk assessments.
- Assist the Architect team in new infrastructure implementations.
- Execute IT projects related to existing infrastructure enhancement.
Technical and Behavioral Competencies:
- CCNA/CCNP/CCIE technical certification.
- 5-10 years of work experience in financial or telecommunications industries.
- Excellent understanding of WAN, LAN, and Voice technologies and network operations.
- Operational support skills in Cisco router/switches, Juniper Firewall platforms, Checkpoint Firewall/VPN platforms, NICE, Etrali, Alteon, and F5 load balancers.
- Experience with network monitoring tools: Solarwind, Netscout, Checkpoint, Netscreen, Cisco OM, TACACs, Infovista, Cacti, Fluke VPN Xpress, ServOne.
- Familiarity with ITIL and defining various network documentation for operations support.
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP, ATM, Frame-Relay, MPLS, Cisco Routers and Multiplexers, Remote Access.
- Proficiency in SharePoint.
- Experience with Vendor management.
