Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for selection, training, mentoring & scheduling of the pastry team
- Ensure that all recipes and product yields are accurately costed and reviewed on a regular basis
- New product development for a variety of products for consumer or corporate clients
- Ensuring that every product that leaves the bakery is to the highest quality and standard
- Ensure that all food items and dishes are prepared according to standard recipe whilst maintaining portion control and minimizing waste
- Ensure that inventories of consumable stock levels are at sufficient quantity and quality in relevance to each outlet's occupancy forecasts
- Maintaining food hygiene and safety standards as per company policy
Job requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of experience in a professional bakery
- Team leader with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work with members on tasks & deadlines
- Ability to bake high quality products that are uniform and consistent
- Creative, abreast of upcoming bakery trends and able to R&D new items
- Motivated and hard-working, able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and able to be proactive in the workplace
- Clean and organised (able to clean as they go)
