Job Description

THIS IS A 2-YEARS RENEWABLE / CONVERTIBLE CONTRACT ROLE.

You will be part of the team responsible for conceptualising, designing, executing, facilitating and managing National Education (NE) Secondary & Post-Secondary Educational Institutes programmes for the entities managed by the Defence Collective Singapore (DCS). You will also plan and provide coordination to ensure in-centre, outreach and virtual programmes run smoothly and seamlessly while aligning with DCS’s goal and objectives. This position will report directly to Head of Secondary & PSEI School Programmes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement National Education (NE) programmes for large scale NE Commemorative events and smaller class-based school learning journeys;
  • Provide support to teams within School Programmes on key NE events;
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including delivery reports, NE surveys, visitorship analysis and review action plans;
  • Work closely with Sales team to promote NE programmes to target audience;
  • Liaise with vendors in procuring goods and services for programme execution; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree in Arts & Social Sciences (majoring in Humanities or Public Policy) / Postgraduate Diploma in Education (MOE) would be advantageous;
  • 1 to 2 years’ experience organising and delivering events or programmes (curriculum-based, sports, leadership, arts, etc.);
  • Experience in Secondary/PSEI education preferred;
  • Able to demonstrate excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking, communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills;
  • Excellent team player, motivated, takes initiative and able to work flexible hours when required;
  • Able to multi-task and handle tight deadlines;
  • Good command of spoken and written English;
  • Good knowledge and application of MS Office applications, especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel; and
  • Good project management skills
