Key job responsibilities
As the Executive Engagement Lead, you will play a critical role in supporting the AWS Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) sales organization. The responsibility of leading executive engagement efforts is to maximize the success of interactions between senior executives from AWS and our key customers. This includes conceptualizing and launching new executive engagement programs, proactively identifying and facilitating executive meetings, reviewing meeting briefing documents from a commercial and exec communications perspective, and creating reporting mechanisms that demonstrate executive engagement performance. This manager role will have a headcount, requiring the ability to lead by example to develop the best in direct and indirect reports. You will be a trusted partner and primary point of contact for executive engagements supporting our leadership, sales, and executive briefing teams.
To be successful in this role, you must have exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), a strong understanding and awareness of executive interactions, proven commercial and strategic proficiency, and customer obsession to create new or innovate existing processes.
Basic Qualifications
8+ years’ experience in Executive Engagements, Corporate Communications, Public Relations, or Business Development, preferably in a B2B environment
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills in English
Outstanding interpersonal skills – ability to build trusted relationships, influence and drive actions by others to achieve set goals, and manage multiple stakeholders across an organization
Independent and self-motivated, works well under pressure and possesses a strong sense of ownership to execute initiatives end-to-end in order to meet tight deadlines
Highly organized, capable of multi-tasking workstream priority of competing stakeholder requests
Innovative mindset to create and improve processes to successfully optimize at-scale
Strong business acumen and curiosity to enhance their knowledge of AWS products and customers
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience managing executive customer engagements and business communications
Experience working at a fast-paced/growing company – demonstrated ability to operate in a lean, fast-paced, entrepreneurial, multi-cultural environment
Experience managing and influencing stakeholders directly and indirectly
Knowledge of existing and developing technologies and cloud computing
