Job responsibilities:
• Provide oversight on controllable factors to ensure successful achievement of the required EHS criteria with no compliance violations.
• Maintain and implementation of site Compliance Plan action items
• Main contact point for government interactions and agency inspections
• Provide necessary and timely support to site on matters relevant safety regulatory updates, interpretation, government interaction and others.
• Review and perform audits on 3rd party vendors and owner for EHS Audit, Legal, Fire protection and Medical
• Lead and conduct training and coaching relating to EHS/Compliance risks at the workplace, when required.
• Provide oversight in formalizing the Root Cause Analysis for incidents to identify individual and systemic failures.
• Ensuring that the Environmental Management System requirements are established, implemented, and maintained with the support from the respective owners
• Provide oversight on the monitoring performance metrics including but not limited to waste minimization and recycling programs
• Manage and provide oversight to the site security related matters
Job requirements:
• Possess a bachelor’s degree in Health and safety or related field
• At least 5 years relevant experience in the manufacturing industry or chemical manufacturing industry
• Good knowledge and application of relevant regulatory laws and regulations, code of practice
• Registered as a Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower.
• Registered as a Fire Safety Manager (FSM) with Singapore Civil Defense Force (additional)
• Possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills
