Business Development Manager, Western Market & Regions

Location | Time Zones: Singapore [Remote] | Singapore Standard Time

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Monday: 9am – 1pm (4 hours)

Tuesday to Friday: 2am – 6am & 7am - 11am (8 hours, 1 hour break)

Saturday: 2am – 6am (4 hours)


ABOUT THE JOB

Business Development Manager is the master of expansion and conquest. A Business Development Manager’s responsibility is to drive business growth and revenue by identifying, prospecting, and nurturing client relationships within the target market. You will be tasked with developing and implementing strategic sales plans to expand the company's footprint in the employer solutions industry. This role requires a deep understanding of the business model and the ability to effectively communicate the value proposition to potential clients. Collaborate closely the team, generate leads, conduct presentations, and negotiate contracts with prospective clients. Additionally, responsible for staying updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting the landscape, providing valuable insights to inform business strategy and decision-making. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets are essential for success in this role.


Responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly to the Managing Director in a key individual contributor role.
  • Accountable for Revenue Generation, Sales Pipeline Management, Projections, and Gross Profit Margin Optimization.
  • Spearheading strategic business development initiatives targeting Western Markets & Regions, including forging Strategic Partnerships, driving lead generation, managing Networking endeavours, fostering Customer Relations, and executing Brand Building strategies.
  • Collaborating closely with the Client Servicing Team to ensure seamless service delivery and ongoing progress.
  • Steering the development and management of the Sales Pipeline and vertical focus, dynamically reallocating focuses to meet evolving needs and recruitment market demands.
  • Emphasizing accountability, strategic shaping, and supporting department-wide growth, development, and alignment.
  • Engaging in high-level collaboration with senior management and human resources to formulate and approve departmental strategies, tactics, and procedures.
  • Establishing effective communication strategies to augment business development efforts.
  • Providing regular insights into market dynamics, challenges, and opportunities to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Crafting innovative business development strategies aimed at enhancing customer experience, driving customer acquisition, and fostering long-term retention.
  • Offering guidance on emerging trends and best practices to enhance customer acquisition and attraction within key talent verticals.
  • Cultivating a deep understanding of customers' businesses and sharing valuable insights with the Client Servicing Team to optimize talent attraction, engagement, brand building, and Candidate Experiences.
  • Maintaining a keen awareness of innovative trends and competitive landscapes, identifying approaches to maximize market penetration.
  • Undertaking additional duties as necessary to ensure the division's effective operation and positive growth, as delegated by superiors.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • A seasoned Business Development Professional specializing in Western Markets/Regions such as the US, UK, EU, and CA with proven track records succeeding in Client Acquisition through strategic canvassing, meticulous prospecting, and adept conversion of leads into formal service agreements.
  • Proficient in advanced negotiation techniques with a charismatic and polished demeanour.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, particularly adept at cultivating relationships with C-suite and top-level executives.
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
  • Proven experience in report writing and adept at leveraging data analytics.
  • Enthusiastic about recruitment as a calling rather than just a profession.
  • Operates with an ownership mindset, characterized by high accountability, visibility, adaptability, and perseverance.
  • A proactive self-starter with an unwavering Can-Do attitude.
  • Exemplifies integrity, ethics, and a commitment to principled conduct.
