What we need:

Reporting to the VP Construction, this role will organize and oversee construction procurement and ensure projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Working with the Construction Development team from inception, due diligence, and Basis of Design (BOD) creation to Real Estate Investment Committee (REIC) presentations through to successful close-out, with specific focus on the procurement of consultants, long lead equipment and network hardware. This role will be based in Singapore.


Key responsibilities:

· Work closely with regional Design and Construction team in identifying and executing new growth opportunities across the company, ensuring adherence to design standards and timely project delivery

· Develop and manage relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, to ensure transparent communication of project timeliness and quality standards

· Support each country’s Construction Director/Managers to develop standardized commercial materials for projects, while also supporting the development of business cases for new investment opportunities

· Drive strategic planning processes (including budgeting, Capex management and project cash-flow preparation) and prepare expenditure estimates for new projects and implement risk management processes

· Manage direct and indirectly procurement activities, including contract negotiations, pricing negotiations and supplier performance monitoring.

· Develop procurement strategies through identifying potential suppliers, assessing their capabilities and identifying opportunities for cost savings and operational streamlining.

· Actively champion and implement policies and procedures for occupational health & safety in the workplace, information security management, environmental management systems; incident management; and comply with all legal regulatory requirements of the organization


The successful candidate:

· Degree or Associate Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Quantity Surveying background

· 7 to 10 years+ of relevant professional experiences in delivering construction projects , particularly in APAC and/or in construction multi-site data centre portfolios (> USD1 Billion)

· Subject matter expert knowledge of data center cost and commercials, construction capital projects strategy and supply chain management, preferably with FIDIC, MVAC, electrical, generator, UPS, precision air conditioner, fire protection, plumbing, security, building monitoring, and IT cabling systems

· Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with a strong technical background in a range of systems, like MVAC, electrical, generator, UPS, precision air conditioner, fire protection, plumbing, security, building monitoring, and IT cabling systems.

· Flexible, agile, and forward thinker who thrives on continuous change of direction

· Values collaboration and foster a result-oriented approach to work effectively with stakeholders
