GLOBAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT LEAD
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, Strategize and Expand Business
- Grow Transcelestial’s business in Southeast Asia (Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand).
- Define and execute the Go-to-Market strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Designs, implements, and manages sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes (AOP).
- Hunt new accounts and expand/diversify product mix in existing accounts.
- Make presentations, lead negotiations and close deals.
- Keep and build relationships with customers, partners, channels and distributors.
- Responsible in managing/coaching in hunting for new customers and opportunity.
- Regularly plan, execute, review and revise business plan
Expand and Manage Sales Team
- Lead and direct sales team to meet or exceed order booking, sales, profitability and budgetary targets
- Advise in hiring the right candidates and develop the sales team according to yearly strategy plan
- Need to help sales team to navigate both internally for management/presales/technical support, as well as externally with customers’ personnel, to maximize success, effectiveness and profitability.
Develop Partner Programme
- Own and assist in developing a Partner Programme which allows us to standardize Terms of Engagement with sales channels and other commercial partners globally.
Develop Commercial Kit and PR
- Commercial Kit development (whitepapers, master slides, training material for other incoming BD/sales team, CRM and metric tracking for BD/sales)
- Represent Transcelestial at conferences, meetups and other places along with the founders.
- Develop value propositions and responses to RFPs.
- Provide routine weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting as required. Active participation in regular management team meetings.
- Ensure individual’s account plans are well prepared and executed accordingly to meet annual targets.
- Accountable for the on-time implementation of sales organization quotas and performance objectives.
- Accountable for accurate and on-time reporting essential for sales organization effectiveness.
- Achievement of strategic objectives defined by company management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Amazing hustler with an ability to instinctively understand customer’s motivation
- Successful experience in selling directly to tier one mobile network operators.
- Successful experience in building and managing channels, partners and distributors.
- Experience in managing similar territory, familiar with Southeast Asia and East Asia culture.
- Demonstrated a successful track record of at least 3-5 years in identifying key business opportunities and executing a go-to-market strategy within that
- Degree from an accredited institution; master’s in telecommunications, electrical engineering or/and business administration or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of sales or sales management experience in a business-to-business sales environment
- Experience managing key customer relationships and closing strategic opportunities. Proof of record of winning significant business.
- Experience in managing a sales teams, monitoring and evaluating the team progress against stated expectations, in addition to aligning and changing individual behaviour with performance expectations.
- Demonstrate outstanding leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate innovative solutioning and able to “think-out of the box”.
- High level of tenacity, resiliency and achievement orientation.
- Able to travel up to 50% of time regionally and globally.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in TMT Sales, Business Development or Strategy within Asia or Globally
- Experience with any of the following specialized areas - satellite connectivity, enterprise connectivity, leased line connectivity, local loop connectivity
- Experience with any of the following specialized industries - Telco, ISP, Ports, Financial Networks, Oil & Gas, Government, Media and Entertainment, Gaming, Data Center.
- Instinct and track record of closing B2B deals
