Overview:
You'll be responsible for the sales and strategic planning of marketing and development initiatives across various sectors, including Institutions, Community Bands, Military Bands, Church, Dealers. The overarching goal is to achieve consistent growth, profitability, and operational efficiency while supporting dealers in meeting their sales targets. In addition, you’ll also be involved in sales activities, monitoring of market trends, optimizing inventory levels, executing advertising and promotional programs, formulating pricing policies, monitoring competitors, and supporting event marketing efforts.
Key Areas of Responsibilities: -
1. Sales Activities and Target Achievement:
- Participate actively in directing and controlling sales activities to achieve predetermined targets and long-term company objectives.
- Work closely with the team to implement effective sales strategies.
- Stay informed about market trends and customer needs to enhance sales performance.
2. Payment Collection Management:
- Ensure timely collection of payments from customers, eg Institutions, dealers etc.
3. Inventory Management:
- Optimize inventory levels to minimize storage costs for Yamaha and Non-Yamaha products.
- Responsible for ordering of stocks and monitor inventory levels regularly for efficient inventory management.
4. Marketing Plan Development and Analysis:
- Contribute to developing marketing plans and targets by analysing sales results.
- Provide market intelligence feedback to support the development of marketing strategies.
- Identify potential business development opportunities aligned with the company's strategic plans.
5. Advertising and Promotional Programs:
- Develop and execute advertising and promotional programs to drive business plans.
- Manage various marketing channels, including online and offline platforms.
- Enhance brand visibility and attract potential customers through effective marketing.
6. Pricing Policy and Competitor Monitoring:
- Formulate and implement pricing policies considering order forecasting and inventory control.
- Monitor competitors and other marketing activities.
- Recommend countermeasures based on acquired information to address competitor movements.
7. Workshop and Seminar Organization:
- Organize and coordinate workshops and seminars for institutions and band directors to enhance engagement and networking opportunities.
- Utilize events to increase product awareness and generate business opportunities.
8. Participation in Promotions and Trade Fairs:
- Actively engage in promotional activities, exhibitions, and trade fairs.
- Represent the company professionally and build relationships with customers and industry professionals.
9. Perform any adhoc duties or projects as assigned.
Requirements: -
- Diploma and above, preferably related in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant working experience in Sales and Marketing roles, preferably in the relevant industry.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey product features, benefits, and value propositions.
- Analytical thinking to assess market trends, competitor activities, and customer behaviour.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competence in using digital tools and platforms for communication, presentations, and sales tracking.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Intrinsic motivation and a proactive approach to sales activities.
- Knowledge in Yamaha music products will be an added advantage.
- Experience in playing a Wind, Percussion or String instrument will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Windows.
